DAY TWO – The Peppermint White Russian

  • 12 Cocktails of Christmas

INGREDIENTS

  • Candy canes – finely crushed
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • Ice
  • 1 oz Peppermint Schnapps (we used Leroux Peppermint Schnapps)
  • 1 oz Kahlúa
  • 1 oz Vodka (we used Ketel One Vodka)
  • 3 oz milk – or half and half. Pour to desired amount.
  • Additional candy canes – to garnish

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Combine crushed candy canes and granulated sugar in a small bowl and mix well to combine. If desired, rim the top of each glass with candy cane and sugar mixture and fill with ice.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker with Peppermint Schnapps, Kahlúa, Vodka and ice. Shake well until combined and cold. Pour into prepared glass and top with desired amount of half-and-half or whole milk.
  3. Garnish with additional candy canes, if desired.
