Mix It Up! with Table & Vine Blueberry Mint Juleps
Mint Simple Syrup Ingredients
1/3 cup Food Club granulated sugar
1/3 cup water
1 bunch mint leaves
Blueberry Mint Puree Ingredients
2/3 cup fresh blueberries
2 tablespoons mint simple syrup
Blueberry Mint Julep Ingredients
2 1/2 ounces bourbon (we used Berkshire Mountain Distillers Bourbon)
1 ounce mint simple syrup
1 ounce blueberry mint puree
— Crushed ice
— Fresh mint leaves
Directions
Wash hands with soap and water.
Rinse fresh produce.
To prepare mint simple syrup, combine sugar, water and mint in a small pan. Heat over high heat until boiling, stirring constantly. Reduce to low and cook for another minute. Carefully remove mint and set aside to cool.
To prepare blueberry mint puree, combine blueberries and mint simple syrup in a blender until thoroughly pureed.
To prepare julep, combine bourbon, mint simple syrup and blueberry mint puree together and shake or stir well.
Pour over crushed ice and serve with extra mint leaves.
