Blood Orange Hot Toddy

What better way to warm up during winter than mixing up a Hot Toddy! After a long day of shoveling snow, we love curling up on couch while sipping one of these.

Ingredients:

1 1/3 part Bourbon [we used Maker’s Mark]
1 part Blood Orange Juice [preferably fresh]
1 tbsp. Honey
¾ cup Hot Water
Blood Orange Slices (optional)
Star Anise and Cinnamon Stick (optional)

Instructions:

Heat water, honey, and blood orange juice on the stove in a saucepan or in the microwave for 1-2 minutes until hot.

Add bourbon to serving glass, then pour in warmed mixture and stir.

Garnish with blood orange slices, cinnamon stick, and/or star anise.
