Beerita Cocktail

Nothing goes together like summer and beer. It’s like cabanas and swimming pools, coconuts and palm trees, the sand to the ocean. OK, we clearly love beer but you know what’s even better than beer? Beer cocktails. From micheladas to beergaritas and shandies to black velvets, there are plenty of options to elevate the already awesome taste of beer. Cheers!

Who would’ve thought that strawberry lemonade would go really well with that beer? What? You haven’t tried it yet? Oh, boy. You’re in for a treat!
4½ cups prepared strawberry lemonade, well chilled
1 cup citrus vodka
2-3 12-oz. bottles Belgian white beer (such as Blue Moon Belgian Wheat)
Grenadine
Ice cubes

Directions:
1. In a pitcher, combine lemonade and vodka; slowly pour in beer. 2. To serve, pour a thin layer of grenadine into the bottom of a glass; add ice. Slowly pour beer mixture over a bar spoon and serve.

Beerita CocktailBeergarita

A summer staple of many pool parties, the beergarita is the mix of a margarita and a light beer. It sure is double the fun!
1 12-oz. can frozen limeade concentrate
1 cup silver tequila
½ cup water
2 12-oz. bottles pale lager (such as Corona), chilled
1 lime, cut in half and sliced

Directions:
1. In a large pitcher, combine limeade, tequila and water; stir until limeade dissolves. Slowly pour in beer. 2. Serve over ice in salt-rimmed glasses garnished with lime slices.

Black Velvet CocktailThe Black Velvet

On the one hand you have prosecco. On the other hand you have a stout beer. The combination of the two is a luxurious blended drink that is outright delicious.
2 oz. stout beer (such as Guinness), well chilled
splash crème de cassis
ice cubes
4 oz. Prosecco, well chilled

Directions:
Slowly pour beer into an 8-ounce glass; top with cassis and some ice. Add prosecco by pouring into glass over a bar spoon and serve.

All of life’s celebrations, from the every day to the extraordinary, deserve something special.
