INGREDIENTS
750-ml bottle Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot red wine
3 Tbsp. Big Y honey
1 Tbsp. fresh ginger, peeled
½-1 Tbsp. Big Y sugar
1 orange, zested and sliced
6 whole cloves
3 cinnamon sticks
1/3 cup brandy
DIRECTIONS
In a large stockpot over medium-low heat, combine wine, honey, ginger, sugar, orange zest, orange slices, cloves and cinnamon sticks. Gently warm for 25 minutes; avoid boiling. Stir occasionally to make sure that the honey and sugar have dissolved completely. Remove from heat, strain into a serving bowl and stir in brandy. Serve in mugs.
