THE CRAZY BLOODY MARY

An old urban legend says that if you turn off all of your lights and say “Crazy Bloody Mary” three times while facing a mirror, one of these cocktails will appear when you turn your lights back on! This drink is a play on a classic Bloody Mary – it’s peppery, spicy, and scary good. Perfect to enjoy on a Sunday morning with brunch, or while curled up on the couch watching a horror film. (This cocktail is also named after our favorite Pearl Jam song.)

Yields: 1 Cocktail

Bloody Mary

2 ounces vodka [we used Ketel One]
4 ounces V8 Hint of Black Pepper Tomato Juice
2 dashes Worcestershire Sauce
2-3 dashes of Tabasco Habanero Hot Sauce [or a hot sauce of your choice]
1 1/2 Teaspoons Celery Salt
1/2 ounce Lemon Juice
Ginger Paste and/or Horseradish to taste
Black pepper [for rim]
Ice

Garnish Ingredients:

Celery Stalks
Pimento-stuffed Olives
Additional garnish recommendations:
Crispy peppered bacon, pickle spears, pepperoncini peppers, cooked shrimp

Instructions:
Dip the rim of your serving glass in water, then dip in freshly-ground black pepper. Fill glass with ice.
Mix all cocktail ingredients in a shaker.
Shake then strain into serving glass.
Add garnish.
