“The Count” and “The Countess”

Our pair of Vampire Martinis each have a unique personality. “The Count”, our savory martini, has a stern tomato flavor. Its counterpart, “The Countess”, our sweet raspberry lime martini, is a bit more welcoming at first glance. Like any great couple, they balance each other out perfectly! Which one will you choose to make?

Ingredients:

The Count-

  • 2 oz Gin or Vodka (we used Ketel One Vodka)
  • 1 Large Tomato (heirloom is recommended, but hot house works well too)
  • .5 oz Lemon Juice or White Balsamic Vinegar
  • .5 oz Simple Syrup

The Countess-

  • 2 oz Gin or Vodka (we used Ketel One Vodka)
  • 3 small strawberries
  • 5 raspberries
  • 1oz Lime Juice
  • .25oz Simple Syrup

 The Count Preparation Instructions:

  • Slice tomato and muddle in the bottom of a cocktail shaker.
  • Add gin or vodka, lemon juice, and simple syrup. Then, fill shaker halfway with ice.
  • Shake well, and strain through fine-mesh strainer into chilled serving glass.
  • Garnish with a lemon twist.

The Countess Preparation Instructions:

  1. Muddle berries, then add to shaker filled halfway with ice.
  2. Add rest of ingredients.
  3. Shake well, and strain through fine-mesh strainer into chilled serving glass.
  4. Garnish with fresh berries.

We recommend straining each of these cocktails more than once, as each contains seeds that could potentially obstruct the beautiful red colors.
